Il progetto \nha interessato gli spazi interni della \nstruttura: soggiorno, camera da letto, \nannessi bagni e zone guardaroba, ufﬁci \ne foyer. Il risultato è unico tanto quanto \nla coppia stessa: la loro personalità e \nindividualità traspaiono ovunque sia \nin termini di risultato complessivo, sia \ndi perfezione e sensibilità coinvolte \nnell’ideazione e nell’esecuzione del più \npiccolo dettaglio.\nMateriali eleganti, texture piacevoli e \ndettagli studiati creano un concetto di \nabitare dove convivono funzionalità e \nstile personale. La meticolosa cura e \nl’esecuzione manuale di tutti i processi di \nﬁnitura traspaiono nelle superﬁci di metallo \ndi De Castelli utilizzate come rivestimenti \narchitettonici. “Un rifugio speciale di \nintimità” è la descrizione perfetta per \nquesta casa privata a Monaco di Baviera, \nall’interno della quale la cappa del \ncamino trasmette un calore accogliente \ne un’energia vibrante e serena. The project involved all \ninterior spaces of the structure: living \nroom, bedroom, adjoining bath and closet \nareas, ofﬁces and foyer. The result is \njust as unique as the couple themselves: \ntheir personality and individuality shine \nthrough everywhere both in terms of the \noverall result as well as the perfection and \nsensibility involved in the conception and \nexecution of the very tiniest detail. \nElegant materials, pleasant textures and \ncarefully studied details create a concept \nof living where functionality and personal \nstyle coexist. The meticulous attention \nto details and the manual execution of \nall ﬁnishing processes come out in the \nmetal surfaces of De Castelli, used as \narchitectural cladding. “A special haven \nof cosiness” describes the project of this \nelegant private home in Munich, within \nwhich the ﬁreplace hood conveys a \nwelcoming warmth and a vibrant, serene \nenergy. Il processo progettuale \nsi è abilmente concentrato su due colonne, \nche proprio al centro dello spazio, fungono \nda separatori del grande salone in tre \nsezioni: dovevano essere vistose ma allo \nstesso tempo sottili nell’intero concept. \nPertanto, un rafﬁnato rivestimento in \nmetallo è stato utilizzato per vestire queste \ndue colonne rendendole uniche alla vista e \ndonando voglia di toccarle e “sentirle”. \nLa speciale ﬁnitura DeMarea realizzata da \nDe Castelli crea un affascinante gradiente \ndall’antracite al blu con diverse tonalità \nintermedie. Dopo aver aggiunto le luci \nindirette dall’alto tagliando il sofﬁtto, \nqueste due colonne sono sicuramente il \npunto focale dello spazio.\n#ULUS RESIDENCE\n \nInterior Design: Designist \nUlus, Istanbul 2019 \nPhoto: Kadir Aşna \nLocated in the prestigious residential area \nof Istanbul, in Ulus, the villa overlooks the \nmagniﬁcent panorama of the Bosphorus, \nframed like an artwork by a large glass \nfacade that is part of the large living room. \nThe design process was cleverly focused \non two columns, which in the center of \nthe space act as separators of the large \nliving room into three sections: they had \nto be striking but at the same time subtle \nthroughout the entire concept. Therefore, \na reﬁned metal cladding was used to dress \nthese two columns making them unique \nto the eye and giving the desire to touch \nand feel. Il blocco esistente e gli ediﬁci \ncircostanti sono diventati fatiscenti, ma la \nsua posizione, adiacente alla trafﬁcata via \ndello shopping di Corso Como e vicino \nalla stazione della linea principale di Porta \nGaribaldi, è diventata strategica. \nPer questo motivo è stato scelto \ndi recuperare l’ediﬁcio ma anche di \nriqualiﬁcare l’area circostante creando \ncosì spazio ad ufﬁci contemporanei e un \nimportante contrappunto urbano al vivace \nquartiere nelle vicinanze.\nLa forma e la materialità dell’ediﬁcio del \npadiglione sono in deliberato contrasto \ncon la torre più morbida e meno formale, \nstabilendo una presenza accessibile al \nconﬁne orientale della strada, attirando le \npersone attraverso l’ediﬁcio e nella piazza \npubblica sommersa. Vediamo la torre \ncome un nuovo ediﬁcio, costruito sulla \nmemoria del suo predecessore, a cui si \naccede da est attraverso una serie di spazi \ncoinvolgenti: sotto uno sbalzo, attraverso \nun ediﬁcio, nel cortile. \nIn questo importante progetto \narchitettonico e urbanistico, occupano \nun ruolo focale le realizzazioni su misura \nprodotte da De Castelli. Le due lobby \ndi ingresso infatti sono impreziosite \ndai rivestimenti e dai desk reception \nin ottone ﬁnitura DeLabré declinati in \nforme e dettagli diversi secondo lo spazio \ncaratteristico di ciascuna. \nLa lobby più piccola presenta un \nrivestimento Scomposta in pannelli \nregolari e un bancone in legno su cui si \ninnesta la scocca in metallo dalle forme \npulite e minimali. La lobby principale \nè caratterizzata da un rivestimento \nritmato di pannelli a “V” sovrapposti \ne caratterizzati da microforature \nappositamente disegnate. \nLe microforature non hanno solo uno \nscopo estetico bensì anche funzionale in \nquanto garantiscono al pacchetto parete \nle caratteristiche di fonoassorbenza. \nUn ritmo simile è stato riproposto anche \nsul bancone dove il rivestimento in ottone \nﬁnitura DeLabrè, leitmotiv del progetto, \nriproduce un effetto zig-zag. Dei circa 400 \nm2 di rivestimento a parete realizzato da \nDe Castelli sono inclusi anche gli interni e \ngli esterni degli ascensori per i quali è stato \nrealizzato un pattern custom mediante \nla tecnica DeErosion sviluppata da De \nCastelli.\n#CORSO COMO PLACE \n \nArchitetto: PLP Architecture\nMilan, 2021\nPhoto: Donato di Bello\nCourtesy by COIMA \nThe Unilever Tower in Milan, built in 1962, \nhas been an international modernist \nlandmark. The existing block and the \nsurrounding buildings have become run-\ndown, but its location, that is adjacent to \nthe busy shopping area of Corso Como \nand close to the mainline station of Porta \nGaribaldi, is strategic. \nThis is the reason why it was decided \nto reinvigorate the building in order to \nprovide spaces for modern ofﬁces, also \nmaking it a relevant urban counterpoint \nto the vibrant neighbourhood.\nThe shape and materiality of the pavilion \nbuilding is set in deliberate contrast to \nthe tower, that is softer and less formal, \nestablishing an approachable presence \nto the eastern street boundary, drawing \npeople through the building and into \nthe public square. We see the tower as a \nnew building, built on the memory of its \npredecessor which can be accessed from \nthe east through a series of engaging \nspaces: under a cantilever, through a \nbuilding, into the courtyard. \nAn important role is played in this project \nby the custom surfaces of De Castelli. \nThe entrance lobbies and the reception \ndesks enlightened by the DeLabré ﬁnishing \non brass, applied with different shapes and \ndetails following the requirements of each \nspace. The smallest lobby is characterized \nby a Scomposta cladding system with \nregular panels and a wooden desk with a \nminimal and clean metal shape. \nThe main lobby presents a rhythmic wall \ncladding with ‘’V’’ panels, overlapped \nand microperforated, made on request \non the architects’ project drawings basis. \nThe microperforated ﬁnishing is not only \naesthetic but also functional, as it acts as \na sound-absorbing structure. A similar \nrhythm was applied to the desk too, where \nthe brass cladding in DeLabré ﬁnishing, \nthe leitmotiv of this project, produces \na ‘zigzag’ effect. Metal sheets \nwere chosen with a thickness of 15 mm, \nusing them as if they were sheets, cutting \nthem with laser and joining one to the \nother. A game of grafts and joints in a \nstructure almost welding free, composed \nas if it was a Meccano game. \nFor the wall covering Boiserie, délabré \nIron B was chosen, a De Castelli’s more \nhomogeneous ﬁnishing compared to the \nstaircase material. In this case, what is \ninteresting is the solution for covering \nﬁre-ﬁghting appliances with concealed \ndoors. Il risultato è una costruzione \nelegante e rafﬁnata, che sa stupire e \nrapire con i suoi spazi e i suoi contrasti. \nL’elegante villa è un continuo alternarsi \ndi pieni e vuoti, sporgenze e rientranze, \ndi forme geometriche dalle linee pulite \nma accattivanti che si compenetrano fra \nloro. L’intervento di nuovo inserimento \ndell’ascensore all’interno della villa oltre a \nsopperire alla funzione di collegamento \ntra i due piani della Villa, offre una nuova \nlettura compositiva dello spazio. Developed by architect \nLuigi Sammarro, the main purpose of \nthe restoration project is the dialogue \nbetween two styles: the Renaissance and \ncontemporary ones. The inclusion of this new elevator \ninside the Villa, not only provides the \nconnection between the two ﬂoors of the \nVilla, but also offers a new compositional \nreading of the space. Scomposta cladding \nsystem by De Castelli, designed and made \nto measure, introduces a new full-height \narchitectural element that deﬁnes itself its \ncentrality. Counters \nare usually considered purely technological \nand operational, made of cold or synthetic \nmaterials, but in this project they acquire \na familiar image as if they were a piece \nof furniture of our homes. Besides the \nhigh quality of design and materials, great \nattention has been paid to the needs \nof operators and all passengers, thanks \nto a careful study of the ergonomics \nof the bench, without forgetting all \nthe technologies needed for boarding \noperations. Il nuovo \ningresso su via Bagutta assume la forma \ndi un arco a tutto sesto inscritto nella \ngeometria del portale esistente; se il suo \nproﬁlo risuona con i motivi dell’architettura \nstorica del quartiere, la consistenza \nmaterica e cromatica dell’ottone ossidato \nla reinterpreta in chiave contemporanea. \nIl suo proﬁlo afﬁlato permette la visione \ncompleta della pietra dell’archivolto \nneoclassico, e la sua strombatura – che si \ndeforma sulla sinistra per generare un’unica \nvetrina a ﬁlo strada - inquadra la porta \nvetrata di ingresso al negozio. The role of an exhibition \nand sales space, like this, is similar to that \nof the sound box of a musical instrument \ncapable of giving fullness and generating \nresonances around the melody produced \nby the strings. The background does not \nneed to replace the object; on the contrary, \nit wants to be an “analogue” capable of \narousing emotions and generating a system \nof connotations appropriate to its character \nand style. The new entrance in Via Bagutta \ntakes the form of a round arch inscribed in \nthe geometry of the existing portal; while \nits proﬁle resonates with the motifs of \nthe historical architecture of the district, \nthe material and chromatic consistency \nof the oxidized brass reinterprets it in \na contemporary way. Its sharp proﬁle \nallows a complete view of the stone of the \nNeoclassical archive, and its splay-which \ndeforms on the left to create a single \nwindow facing the road-frames the glass \ndoor leading to the store. Clean \nand essential shapes, the greenery design \nand the skilfull use of lights enhance the \noutlines of this new architectural body \nthat emerges from the facade of the well \nknown store.
