Nel 1929 si mette in proprio e avvia un piccolo \nlaboratorio di falegnameria. \n1950 \nCesare Berti trasferisce la propria attività in una nuova sede, \npiù ampia. Poi, grazie alla \ntecnica di taglio al laser, inizia la produzione dei pavimenti \nintarsiati.\n1988 \nLa ragione sociale dell’azienda viene modificata in “Berti \nPavimenti Legno”. L’apporto della moderna tecnologia laser \ngarantisce un taglio del massello molto preciso, senza limiti \ndi complessità: nascono opere di straordinario prestigio, \ncome alcune pavimentazioni del palazzo del Cremlino e la \nfedele ricostruzione del pavimento del castello di Windsor. \nTrattando la superficie del legno con un procedimento \nbrevettato, viene creato il parquet antichizzato: \nnasce la linea “Antico”. \n1994\nAcquistata la Vepal S.a.s., affermata nel mercato italiano per \nla produzione di pavimenti melaminici e di liste in legno di \ngrandi dimensioni.\n2000\u002F2004  \nIl mercato si orienta verso il prefinito: inizia un massiccio \ncambiamento dei macchinari, con l’acquisto di 4 nuove linee \nproduttive. Nel 2002 parte la produzione del prefinito di \ngrandi dimensioni. Nel 2004, acquisto di 3 macchinari per il \nparquet prefinito ad intarsio.\n2012\nEntra in funzione il nuovo impianto di verniciatura che utilizza \nvernice ad acqua: una linea di 250 metri di lunghezza che \npermette di realizzare la gamma completa di parquet Berti.\n2015\nDall’inconfondibile stile Diesel Living e dal know-how firmato \nBerti nasce una nuova partnership. Frutto della ricerca e \ninnovazione nella trasformazione e trattamento dei materiali \napplicata a una collezione di pavimenti in legno, dove vari \nformati e finiture trasformano ogni ambiente in uno spazio \n100% Diesel.\ntHe HIstory oF tHe FIrM   For almost eighty years the \nwood, the absolute raw material of its art, marks the history \nof Berti. A natural product that goes with the eclectic and \ninnovator feel of its creations all along.\n \nCesare Berti was born in Villa del Conte, in the Padua province. \nWhen he was only twelve he was already at work as an \napprentice carpenter. In 1929, he branched out on his own and \nstarted a small carpentry workshop. \nCesare Berti moved his business to a new location, a bigger \none. He purchased a sawmill and for some time he focused on \nthe timber trade. \nSeason of great building development: Cesare Berti established \nthe “IN.PAR. Industria Parchetti”, a company specialized in the \nmanufacturing and installation of wooden floors. Soon Cesare \nhas to look for new supplying sources of raw material: as a \nstart, he begins the import of wood from Hungary.\nThe new generation steps forward. Cesare Berti and the sons \nGiancarlo and Silvano established the “P.B. Parchettificio \nBerti”, which since the beginning counts over 100 employees \nand it is the first company in the wood industry to employ the \ncomputerized lines for the choice of the parquet.\nCore Business: floors with geometrical patterns inspired by \nthe floorings of the antique mansion houses of the Veneto \nregion and by other artistic buildings. Afterwords, thanks \nto employement of the laser cut technique it begins the \nmanifacturing of innovative inlaid floors.\nThe name of the company was changed to “Berti Pavimenti \nLegno”. The employment of the modern laser technology \nensures a very precise heartwood cut, without limits to \ncomplexity: it starts the creation of works of extraordinary \nprestige, as some floors of the Kremlin Palace and the accurate \nreconstruction of the floor at the Windsor Castle. An exclusive \nnew process was employed, enabling the production of \nparquet with an aged look: the “Antique” line was created. \nVepal S.a.s. was acquired. A company that estabilished itself in \nthe Italian market for the manifacturing of melamine-finished \nfloors and of big size flooring boards.\nThe market takes up toward the prefinished floor: begins a \nchangeover of the machineries, with the purchase of four new \nmanufacturing lines. In 2002, it begins the production of the \nbig size prefinished. In 2004 three new machineries for the \nparquet prefinished inlaid work were purchased.\nThe new water based varnishing system starts working: it’s \na 250 meter long lacquering line that allows to produce the \nwhole range of Berti parquet flooring.\nFrom the mix of the unique Dieel Living touch and Berti’s \nknow-how a new partnership is born. In tal senso, investe molto sia in \ntermini economici che in risorse umane, al fine di realizzare pavimenti in legno di alto \nprofilo, di assoluta qualità. A partire dall’uso di utensili al diamante per la profilatura \ndegli elementi, che permette di realizzare incastri perfetti: in fase di posa in opera il \nparquet risulta così assolutamente planare e liscio. Le diverse tecniche di lavorazione \npermettono di ottenere un pavimento levigato e verniciato, dall’aspetto classico. \nOppure un pavimento spazzolato e verniciato, che ben ripropone i vecchi pavimenti \ndel passato. La particolare essiccazione della vernice, applicata con la speciale \nfinitura a “velo” in appositi forni a raggi U.V., fa sì che ogni prodotto verniciato sia \nimmediatamente fruibile e resistente, del tutto ecologico ed esente da emissione \ndi sostanze tossiche. A tale proposito, tutti i pavimenti prefiniti sono realizzati nel \nrispetto della norma europea EN 14342 e sono pertanto certificati CE.\nInnovAtIve MAnuFACturInG teCHnIques, very AdvAnCed systeMs, \npolIsHInG, vArnIsHInG, AntIquInG. \nThe wood manufacturing is an antique art, applied to modern technology: Berti \nPavimenti Legno is continuously committed to the development and expansion of \nits productive and processing section.  In that sense, it invests a lot both in economic \nterms and in human resources, in order to realize wooden floor high quality wooden \nfloors. Starting from the use of diamond tools for the profiling of the elements, which \nallows creating perfect joints: in the laying phase the parquet prove to be totally \nflat and smooth. The various manufacturing techniques allow obtaining a polished \nand varnished floor giving it a classic appearance; or a brushed and varnished floor, \nreintroducing the floors of the past.The peculiar drying process of the varnish, \napplied with the special “fog coat” finishing in proper U.V.- rays ovens, makes each \nvarnished product immediately usable thus durable, entirely ecologic and free from \ntoxic emissions. Berti Pavimenti Legno uses a consi-\nderable quantity of multilayer Birch plywood for the production of the pre-finished \nfloors. It is indeed for the preservation of the environment, for a deep respect of \nMother-Nature which constantly provides the material, that the company has cho-\nsen to select among its suppliers of birch plywood only the ones with the FSC certi-\nfication (Forest Stewardship Council). \nFSC is a no-profit organization of the Pan-European Forest Certification Council, \ninvolved in the certification system for the sustainable forest management.
