Formatisi \nentrambi al Politecnico di Milano quando \nancora non c’era una divisione netta tra \narchitettura e design d’interni, sono legati \na quell’idea, forse démodé, del progettista \nalla Magistretti o alla Zanuso che riusciva \na essere un eccellente designer e un \neccellente architetto, e pensare alle due \ncose insieme. Questa speciale sensibilità  \nli ha proiettati nel mondo Pianca.\nCalvi \nBrambilla\n4 — 5\nEN \nFor Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla, the interior is not the sum of the details, \nit’s the most tangible chapter of architecture. “When we design a piece of furniture, \nwe’re already thinking about the home it will go into”, says Paolo Brambilla. “Being  \nso interested in the history of objects, when we design an interior, we have to imagine  \nit with objects already inside it.” This approach, very much aligned with the Italian \ninterior design culture of the first half of the last century, derives from what they \nthemselves call a rather “old-school” professional background.
