Designed for the 1906-built Casa Batlló dining room,
the Batlló chair is a Gaudí with sweeping curves and
surprising comfort.
Beyond its abstract appearance, Casa Batlló represents
Saint George, the patron saint of Catalunya and his
victory over the dragon. The bony chair complements
the ridged roof and curving iron balconies of the building.
The Batlló chair is manufactured following the method
and material originally used by Gaudí, preserving the
functional and sculptural aspects of the original design.
It has an outstretched backrest and curved seat that
provides a high level of comfort.
The Batlló is an exact reproduction of the original
designed by Antoni Gaudí, and is accompanied by a
certificate signed by the director of the Gaudí Cathedra.
