Oscar Tusquets and Lluís Clotet created the
Cornisa in 1979. It is one of their most versatile,
timeless and simple designs. The thin cornice
lines? They are referential, and keep the structure
slick. The Cornisa was inspired by the 1973 Hialina
shelf. It is witty and postmodern (much like Clotet
and Tusquets), floating in space while referencing
a classic concept: a cornice. The two designers
created the shelf in 1970. Its functionality and
simplicity maintain its relevance across different
settings on an individual and ergonomic level.
Available in a narrow and wide style, the shelf can
reach lengths of up to two-and-ahalf metres.
