The characteristic that makes it a definitely innovative chair is "the surface of the seat/back, which looks slightly rounded. It is this contraposition between the thin perimeter and the generous section that makes the chair so conformable", explains the designer. "The Ella project is an example of sobriety: I did not mean to highlight the design per se, but rather let the quality of the materials and production emerge." The body is made of graduated flame-retardant polyurethane foam with steel insert and elastic strips suspension and is covered by fabric or leather (removable). The legs are in a polished, or black-or- white painted aluminium alloy.
