1990
A new generation of the
Gonzaga Family took
over the company and
changed its name to
Móveis Gonzaga.
2008
Due to the exponential
growth of the company
overseas, a new and
simpler name for the brand
was needed. That is how
ZAGAS was born.
1971
The first furniture
collection was created.
1948
Created by its namesake,
Gonzaga Barros da Silva
was born as a chair and
hangers’ manufacturer.
1998
On the year that marked
its 50th anniversary, the
company also started
exporting its pieces all
over Europe.
2018
On the year that marked
its 70th anniversary, the
company rebranded itself.
2021
Zagas expresses
its commitment to
sustainability and invests
in 300 solar panels to
reduce the environmental
impact of the production
systems. It also launches
its first exclusively
digital catalogue.
2001
Móveis Gonzaga attends its
first tradeshow under the
new management.
