Composed of an array of fine
technical threads pulled taut between
two aluminum rings, Array presents a
wide range of conical and cylindrical
silhouettes that can be combined
together to form a compelling
installation.
The spacing distribution of the
threads creates translucency and
volume, whilst the layering effect
gives the illusion of movement.
Suspended overhead, Array emits
a pleasant downlight projected from
an invisible source concealed
within the lower ring.
At the same time, indirect light
washes upwards in a gradient
of colour, enveloping rather than
invading the space it occupies.
