There’s more to a great project than the end result. Often its true value lies in where it came from. Take the design that arose from Very Wood’s partnership with the architect Michele De Lucchi. A partnership that the company’s art director, Matteo Ragni, was very keen to establish.
The brand’s history draws its strength from wood. It is a history driven by ideas, people, design skills, manufacturing capabilities and a flair for turning wood into chairs and furnishings that are one of a kind yet able to multiply to suit the multifarious world of contract furniture.
Filla comes in natural or stained ash wood in whatever colour or finish best suits the setting in which it will be placed. The edges of the seat and backrest feature ash that has been “peeled back”.
The gently rounded edges are reminiscent of the annual growth rings of trees. Age gives timber its gracefully irregular curves, an effect that is recreated in the Filla chair by seamlessly merging advanced manufacturing systems with the craftsman’s painstaking care.
