Uno dei capolavori di VENINI, il vaso disegnato
negli anni Venti del Novecento da Vittorio
Zecchin e ispirato a una tela del Veronese,
artista da cui ha preso il nome, si trasforma in
un’opera d’arte che fonde culture e tradizioni.
Grazie alla tecnica giapponese del Kintsugi, ossia
l’antica pratica di restauro utilizzata per riparare
gli oggetti rotti con l’uso dell’oro, la collezione si
arricchisce di inediti bagliori. Le linee di rottura
sono lasciate a vista e vengono riempite con
la polvere del nobile metallo, la sua filosofia è
profonda e va ben al di là di una semplice pratica
artistica: il suo simbolismo ci parla di guarigione e
resilienza. dando vita ad un oggetto
unico e sontuoso.
One of VENINI’s masterpieces, the Veronese
vase designed in the 1920s by Vittorio Zecchin,
inspired by a canvas by the Renaissance artist
who gave it his name, becomes a work of art
merging culture and traditions. Thanks to the
Kintsugi technique – that is, the ancient method
of restoration using gold to repair broken
objects, usually pottery – the collection has
been enriched with unique, new flashes of light.
The breakage lines are not only left in sight, but
are even highlighted by the gold dust, creating
a new pattern and transforming the object’s
appearance. The philosophy behind Kintsugi
is very deep and extends well beyond that of
a simple artistic practice: its symbolism speaks
to us of healing and resilience, giving life to a
unique and luxurious object.
