“Il nome Chain deriva dall’idea di tradurre l’im-
magine di un rotolo di tessuto, porzionato con un passo regolare
“srotolato” lungo il perimetro dello schienale”, spiegano i designer.
Ed è proprio il ritmo regolare e ordinato, modulare, che caratteriz-
za visivamente il nuovo progetto per Twils.
Una soluzione radicata in un’idea di comfort
che si struttura nello schienale, porta ordine e linearità a un imbot-
tito altrimenti animato da una cadenza di bolle morbide e acco-
glienti, Chain suggerisce una postura informale, libera, rilassata
nonostante i volumi scultorei.

“The name Chain comes from the idea of con-
veying the image of a roll of fabric, which is divided into equally
sized sections and ‘unrolled’ along the perimeter of the backrest,”
explain the designers. This notion of a neat, regular modular rhythm
is the distinctive visual feature of the new design for Twils.
The concept of comfort takes shape in the
banded upholstery of the backrest, which brings linear order while
also adding vibrancy. Despite its sculpturesque appearance, Chain
conjures up images of people sitting around freely, in an informal,
easy-going atmosphere.
