FAT WOOD & STEEL
The new FAT’s silhouette just reduced in weight. We received feedback
from customers who dined in the restaurant that the FAT chairs were too
heavy, so we listened to that feedback and re-engineered the design.
Whilst we were at it, we managed to reduce the costs.
The fatness of the curved backrests and the thickness of the upholstery
make these a really comfortable series of furniture - they were first
tested out in our restaurant at the Coal Office and then at the Manzoni in
Milan before we launched the collection in 2019.
FAT is now available with timber (natural and black) legs - the timber is
sourced from the same factory as Slab and matches the Slab black and
natural finishes.
