‘The reference point is the Chesterfield, a traditional English typology that
has remained a British classic for centuries. We aimed to create something
reminiscent of this design in terms of proportions but with a distinct departure
in appearance. Specifically, we envisioned a low back that envelops you,
serving as our starting point.
With PLUMP, we sought to imbue it with a modern essence, stripping away
any ornamental details and focusing solely on the essentials. This led us to
embrace simple outlines, a semi-circular profile, and straight lines. Despite
its generous appearance, the construction is relatively lightweight, tailored to
meet a specific price point. Its dimensions ensure it can seamlessly integrate
into any home. Though not strictly modular, it offers various configurations,
allowing it to transform into an ‘L-Shape’ or function as a 2.5 or 3-seater.
Despite its ample size, it maintains a balance, complementing rather than
overpowering the room. Versatile enough to complement any aesthetic, it is
available in a wide range of fabrics and materials.’
