Bearing the mark of its maker, Beat is a celebration of
the handmade. Inspired by the sculptural simplicity of
traditional Indian water vessels, Beat is a family of hand-
spun, welded and beaten lights with shades that retain
hammer marks from their forming. Crafted by artisans in
Northern India, the creation of Beat is part of an ancient
process that takes four days to complete.

LIGHTING
The Beat lights marked one of our earliest successes,
featuring hand-hammered brass and an unexpected blend
of craft detailing. Fast forward 20 years, and despite their
enduring popularity, they have become one of the most
widely imitated products. Determined to combat these
imitations, we embarked on a novel initiative. Introducing
Unbeaten, made by skilled artisans in the same factory in
India as our much-loved Beat collection, with the difference
being Unbeaten is made using machine tools and not hand-
beaten, using premium aluminium.
