Armchair, daybed, chaise lounge or sofa - a diversity of variations characterize range S 5000. James Irvine has reinterpreted a type of sofa that was already a part of the Thonet programme in the 1930s: the archetype of a minimalist sofa with a bent tubular steel base. A variable range resulted through subtle interventions, based on a simple, intelligent design idea: the "modular principle." Up to four identical upholstery elements are placed on the standard base element as armrests or backrests at the owner's discretion. This idea opens up a broad range of uses and large selection of different versions.
Armchair and two- or three-seat sofas. Base frame and armrest/backrest bracket chrome-plated tubular steel. Simple assembly with Allen key. Backrest elements in two different heights. Covered in leather or fabric, removable.
