Materials, Qualities & Techniques
BAMBOO SILK
The fastest growing plant on the planet, bamboo
is an excellent alternative to traditional silk. The
fibres are naturally long and strong and can be
spun into a lustrous yarn that has an incredibly
soft and tonal finish.
MOHAIR
Spun from the fleece of the Angora goat, mohair
boasts the softness of wool and the lustre of silk.
Often woven into plain rugs where the tactile
nature of the material comes into its own, it also
brings richness and depth to any colour.
ALPACA
The alpaca is a smaller relative of the llama,
originally found in Latin America. Our rugs
are made from the finest alpaca fleece, which
is thick, fluffy and luxurious underfoot. This
wonderful texture is both enduring and light.
MERINO
Merino sheep, whose rams are recognised by
their long, spiral horns, originate from 12th
century Spain. Since then, Merino wool has been
celebrated for its fineness, its ability to control
temperature and its unbelievable luxurious feel.
