Biancone Beige
Stone is the main material of the Apulian
territory. An area in which the presence of
man is almost merged with its absence,
wrapped in silence you can see how man
has used stone over time to build farms and
farmhouses but also for local buildings and
works of art such as Trani Cathedral. The
absolute protagonist is Biancone, a limestone
rock characterised by the white colouring
typical of the area, used both for craftwork
such as interior and exterior cladding,
sculptures, staircases and swimming pools,
and also for industrial constructions such
as pavements, squares and walls, so much
so that it has become a highly prized iconic
material known all over the world.

La pietra è il materiale principe del territorio
pugliese. Un’area in cui la presenza umana
quasi si confonde con la sua assenza, avvolti
nel silenzio si nota come l’uomo si sia
servito nel tempo della pietra per edificare
masserie, case coloniche ma anche per
costruzioni ed opere d’arte locali come la
Cattedrale di Trani. Protagonista assoluto
è il Biancone, roccia calcarea caratterizzata
dalla colorazione bianca tipica della zona
utilizzata sia per realizzazioni artigianali
come rivestimenti interni, esterni, sculture,
scale e piscine, ed anche per realizzazioni
industriali come lavorazioni stradali tra
cui marciapiedi, piazze, muretti, tanto
da divenire un materiale iconico molto
pregiato e conosciuto in tutto il mondo.
