Vilmos Huszár, 1925
Vilmos Huszár gilt als der große Unbekannte der Künstlergruppe De
Stijl, die er mitbegründete. In erster Linie war er Maler, was man
auch der um 1925 entstandenen, fröhlich-eleganten Flurgarderobe
ansieht. Ihre Haken zeigen sich natürlich in den Farben von De Stijl.
Vilmos Huszár is considered the great unknown of the De Stijl artist
group, which he co-founded. First and foremost he remained a pain-
ter, which can also be seen in the cheerful, elegant hall wardrobe that
was built around 1925. The hooks are, of course, painted in the colors
of De Stijl.

Egon Eiermann, 1961
Ohne Frage war er einer der bedeutendsten Architekten der Nach-
kriegszeit. Er entwarf vornehmlich Zweckbauten. Berühmt sind unter
anderem die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche in Berlin, die Deutsche
Botschaft in Washington oder der „Lange Eugen“ – das Abgeordne-
tenhochhaus in Bonn. Aber auch die Möbel und Leuchten des 1904
geborenen Berliners haben seit jeher einen anerkannten Platz in der
Design-Landschaft.
Without question, he was one of the most important architects of
the post-war period. He mainly designed functional buildings. He is
well-known for the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, the
German Embassy in Washington and the “Lange Eugen”– the Repre-
sentatives Tower in Bonn. But the furniture and lighting of the Berlin
native, who was born in 1904, have always had a recognized place in
the design landscape.
