Marianne Brandt, 1924
Das noch heute hergestellte Zucker-Sahne-Service entstand 1924, ein
Jahr nach Marianne Brandts Einritt in die Metallwerkstatt des Weimarer
Bauhauses. Gefertigt wird es noch immer von einem Silberschmied
aus 925er Sterlingsilber und Ebenholz. Wie Marianne Brandt berichte-
te, wurde so lange experimentiert, bis der Ausguss des Kännchens
tropffrei war. Heute beeindruckt das Service mit seiner skulpturalen
Expressivität.
The sugar and cream service, which is still produced today, was
created in 1924, one year after Brandt joined the metal workshop of
the Weimar Bauhaus. It is still made by a silversmith from 925 sterling
silver and ebony. As Brandt reported, experiments were carried out
until the spout was drip-free. Today the service impresses with its
sculptural expressiveness.

Gyula Pap, 1928
Mit dem Entwurf dieser Schale aus dem Jahr 1928 wagte sich Gyula
Pap an ein schlichtes und reduziertes Design, das sich aufgrund
seiner spiegelglatten Oberfläche effektvoll in den Raum integriert. Er
abstrahierte mit dem Modell den Kreis zu einem dreidimensionalen
Objekt, das noch heute modern wirkt.
With the design of this bowl from 1928, Gyula Pap dared to create a
simple and reduced design that, thanks to its mirror-smooth surface,
can be effectively integrated into the room. With the model, he
abstracted the circle into a three-dimensional object that still looks
modern today.
