Wilhelm Wagenfeld, 1927/1928
Während seiner Tätigkeit am Bauhaus schuf Wilhelm Wagenfeld diese
Leuchte mit Stoffschirmen. Die optische Nähe zu seinen anderen
Leuchten zeigt Wagenfelds ständiges Experimentieren und die Suche
nach der endgültigen Form. Die beiden Varianten unterscheiden
sich in der Form des Unterschirms. Die WG 27 hat einen geraden
Unterschirm, während der Unterschirm der WG 28 konisch geformt ist.
During his work at the Bauhaus, Wilhelm Wagenfeld created this
lamp with fabric shades. The visual proximity to his other lights shows
Wagenfeld’s constant experimentation and the his search for the
ultimate form. The two variants differ in terms of the shape of the
lower shade. The WG 27 has a straight lower shade, while the lower
screen of the WG 28 is conical.
