Aus dem Kreis der im schwedischen Funktionalismus parallel zum
Bauhaus wirkenden Architekten kommt der Entwurf dieser Tisch-
leuchte. Die polierte Aluminiumkappe hält sich auf der Glaskugel allein
durch die Reibung. Durch Verschieben lässt sich der Reflektor
jederzeit blendfrei einstellen.
The design of this table lamp comes from the group of architects
who worked in parallel with the Bauhaus in Swedish functionalism.
The polished aluminum cap adheres to the glass ball solely through
friction. The reflector can be adjusted glare-free at any time
by moving it.

Wilhelm Wagenfeld, 1924/1925
Wagenfeld war 24 Jahre alt, als er an das Bauhaus nach Weimar
kam. Hier entwarf er die vier Versionen dieser Leuchte nach einer
von Moholy-Nagy gestellten Aufgabe.
Wagenfeld was 24 years old when he came to the Bauhaus in
Weimar. Here he designed the four versions of this lamp as his
response to an assignment set by Moholy-Nagy
