FACKEL LIGHT by Umberto Bellardi Ricci
Fackel is the German word for the medieval wall torches that released naked flames on
the walls of castles and convents. Inspired by these ancient lamps, Umberto Bellardi
Ricci bends a metal bar in two points and lets it run parallel to the wall, onto which he
projects a warm and suggestive glow, similar to the light of sunset, thanks to the LED
strip positioned on the back of the bar.
Fackel è la parola tedesca per indicare le torce da parete medievali che sprigionavano
fiamme nude sulle mura di castelli e conventi. Ispirato da queste antiche lampade,
Umberto Bellardi Ricci piega una barra metallica in due punti e la lascia correre paral-
lela alla parete, sulla quale proietta un bagliore caldo e suggestivo, simile alla luce del
tramonto, grazie alla striscia led posizionata sul retro della barra.
