The symbol of simplicity and purity of shape, proposed by the Swedish studio to create a chair that is both innovative and
timeless. Piece of a large collection of products — chairs, armchairs, stools and tables — Kelly translates the characteristic
geometric language of the American artist Ellsworth Kelly in a three-dimensional object. Made of two structural elements
— a wooden seat and metal legs — the rounded forms of Kelly have been shaped respecting the dialogue between the past
and the present.
At the same time, Kelly is traditional and innovative, familiar and original, but it stands out for the unexpected production
process that makes the structure of the seat the main element of the project. Using the material as an expressive
instrument, Claesson, Koivisto, Rune give shape to the chromatic language that distinguishes Kelly: two different types of
coloured wood cover its surface, creating thin reflections through a game of contrast between tonal textures and materials.
