choose the right IP rating depending on where the light will be used.
The abbreviation IP stands for Ingress Protection. The first digit in these standardised IP codes indicates
the protection against solid objects, the second digit indicates protection against moisture. It is the latter
that is particularly important for bathrooms and outdoor areas.
EXAMPLE IP 65:
The product has maximum dust protection at level 6 and high protection against water jets at level 5.
It can therefore be classified as dust-tight and water-resistant.
