SURGE PROTECTION DEVICE
For Class I y Lighting Fixtures
For Class II q Lighting Fixtures
Outdoor Lighting fixtures are subject to many different types of temporary, transitional or permanent electrical disturbances. Such disturbances
can create permanent damage or failure that can jeopardize the performance or lifetime of the fixtures. Surge protection devices are utilised to
limit the damage of such electrical disturbances. Each fixture must be connected to one single device at a distance of no more than 10m away.
A correct protection system against overvoltage or voltage spikes must also provide for the installation of a surge protection device inside the
mains electrical switchboard (the selection of this device is the responsibility of the electrician or electrical contractor).
