Michel Buffet
Michel Buffet (1931-2024) was a French designer who began designing while still
a student in the 1950s. Buffet was inspired by the works of pioneering French
modernists and with a degree in engineering and architecture, Michel Buffet created
his first furniture in 1954. Later the same year Buffet presented the chair at Festival
de la creation française organized by Galeries Lafayette.
As a lover of art and the beauty of nature, Michel Buffet combines the world of
industrial design with the world of decorators and is internationally recognized as
one of the great classic designers.
