As a manufacturer of furniture, we believe that our
greatest positive impact is done by creating furniture in
a quality and design that can last for generations, and
thereby eliminate the need for frequent replacements.
For several years we have worked systematically with
making responsible changes. Consideration for the
environment affects which models we put into production
as well as our choice of materials, how they are processed,
and how the furniture is packaged and transported.
A continuous process
When working with new responsible initiatives we always
use our common sense. The new initiatives need to make
sense – and make a real difference. We do not wish to
use more recycled materials if this means that we need to
transport the materials from far away or if it compromises
our high demands for durability. It is truly a balancing act,
and we are continuously doing our best to keep this balance.
All waste from our production is collected and recycled.
We do this because it is common sense but also because it
is an unavoidable part of Indonesian culture. ArtFibre waste
goes back into the production, and aluminum waste is sold
back to the supplier who recycles the scraps. We believe in
the importance of making furniture of recyclable materials.
Therefore, our exterior furniture after end use can be taken
apart and sorted into clean, recyclable materials.
Since 2013, we have been certified by ISO14001. Through
this certification, we have committed ourselves to a
responsible environmental policy as well as an ongoing
focus on exploring new possible ways to develop and
improve our business.
