Subject: PAINTING PROCEDURE
The company SIDE S.p.A – Via C. Cattaneo 90 – Lissone (MB), declares that all propers
luminaires are manufactured using the higher quality materials and coating technology, with
particular attention to the quality of the products.
Used aluminium is AB-47100 (low copper content) having high corrosion resistance.
Coating treatment foreseen :
1) stone wash surface treatment
2) degreasing and fluor-zirconate treatment (chemical surface treatment which confers particles giving
a cohesive protective coating)
3) epoxy primer (1st. coating) with excellent characteristics to the paint which also offers very high
resistance to oxidation due to its Zinc content
4) polyester powder coating with high resistance against UV rays and harsh weather conditions (2nd.
coating)
Following the above mentioned treatments, the items are in compliance with Standard :
“EN 600068-2-11 Environmental testing” – Part 2 : Tests – Test Ka: Salt mist”
- SIDE S.P.A. also precise that the coating of the goods needs to be respected/avoid some important
details:
a) avoid scratches and coating damaging
b) avoid contact with chemicals (in particular : arsenic acid, acetic acid, cloridric acid, formic acid, nitric acis,
solforic acid, isopropilic alcool, benzene, bromine, whitelime, ethylene, iron cloryde, fenolics, soda)
c) avoid contact with herbicide substances
d) avoid direct contact with salt and salt water
e) fast maintenance/cleaning operation with pure water in case of contact with the above mentioned
substances
f) correct installation following the instruction manual
