You-glass, a differenza del vetro piano, grazie alla sua peculiare forma ad U, presenta eccellenti resistenze
meccaniche che ne permettono l’utilizzo anche in altezza considerevoli (fino a 7 metri di lunghezza in
funzione del carico del vento della zona di installazione) senza l’utilizzo di supporti intermedi. You-glass ha
una resistenza statica così elevata che non ha bisogno di elementi di sostegno laterali. Il risultato si traduce
in una facciata che massimizza le superfici in vetro e minimizza la porzione di telaio. You-glass viene fornito
a partire da una lunghezza di 100 cm fino ad una lunghezza massima di 300 cm (dimensioni superiori a
richiesta). All’interno di questa gamma, le dimensioni possono essere ordinate a qualsiasi lunghezza
desiderata, nel rispetto delle tolleranze di produzione.
YOU-glass extrachiaro
YOU-glass extrachiaro è sicuramente l’eccellenza nel settore del vetro con profilo ad U. Grazie alla sua
composizione a basso contenuto di ferro, YOU-glass extrachiaro presenta un elevato indice di trasmissione
luminosa. Proprio per il fatto che YOU-glass extrachiaro si presenta più trasparente e con assenza di riflessioni
verdi rispetto al prodotto Standard, è il prodotto preferenzialmente utilizzato da architetti e progettisti,
soprattutto per superfici raffinate. Solitamente viene prodotto per progetti specifici. In caso di interesse si

Sicurezza
Il nostro prodotto speciale YOU-glass temprato, è un profilo di vetro temprato termicamente, che possiamo
offrire come prodotto standard per tutte le finiture, fino ad una lunghezza massima di 3000 mm (misure
superiori a richiesta). Questo offre i seguenti vantaggi per progettisti ed utilizzatori: il rispetto dei requisiti
stabiliti per il vetro colato dalla DIN EN 14179-1 per il vetro temperato di sicurezza per quanto riguarda il
comportamento post rottura (numero e dimensioni dei frammenti) (analisi disponibile nella scheda tecnica
di prodotto dello YOU-glass temprato);
La possibilità d’impiego in facciate esterne o pareti esterne ventilate, secondo la norma DIN 18516 parte 4
Resistenza elevata agli shock termici fino a 150 °K, secondo la norma DIN EN 14179-1, rispetto ai 40°K
del vetro non temprato. Questo garantisce che non vi sia il rischio di rottura a causa dell’aumento di
sollecitazioni termiche come ad esempio in pareti che assorbono energia solare o connesse con isolanti
termici trasparenti.

By contrast to flat panels of glass and due to its U shape, YOU GLASS shaped glass has excel-lent load-bearing
capacities and can therefore be installed in very considerable lengths (up to 7m depending on wind load/stress)
without any intermediate support.U-profiled glass has such high static strength that side braces can usually be
avoided. Theresult is a façade which provides a maximum of glass and a minimum of frame profile.YOU-glass is
supplied from 100 cm up to a maximum length of 300 cm depending on type. Within this range, fixed dimensions
may be ordered to any desired length, in obser-vance of production tolerances.
YOU GLASS low iron
YOU GLASS low iron is certainly the premium glass type in the whole U-profiled glass field. Due to its further
optimized low iron resource composition, YOU GLASS low iron has a high light-transmission factor.Due to the fact
that the glass melt of YOU GLASS low iron is usually significantly paler, respectively less green than a standard
production, YOU GLASS low iron is preferably used by architects and designers, particularly in connection with
refined surfaces.In these special production runs generally low iron is produced for specific projects.In the event of

Safety
Our special product, YOU GLASS tough, is a thermically tempered channel shaped glass, which we offer as
standard for all types, up to a maximum production length of 3000 mm (!). This provides the following advantages
for planners and users: Thermally toughened YOU GLASS tough meets the requirements laid down for cast glass
in the DIN EN 14179-1 for tempered safety glass, with regard to fracture behaviour (number and size of fragments)
(analysis of structure after fracture according to, see product specification YOU GLASS tough). Use in forward-
standing facades or back-ventilated exterior walls, in accordance with DIN 18516 part 4. In accordance with
DIN EN 14179-1, significantly increased thermal shock resistance of approx.150 K, compared to non-tempered
glass(approx.40 K) such that: in the standard case, there is no risk of fracture due to increased thermic stresses
such as e.g. from solar, absorber walls, or particularly in connection with transparent heat insulation. In order
to minimise the risk of fracture from nickel sulphite inclusions, in accordance with the latest technological
discoveries, a heat soak test. Particularly with heat soak tests for shaped glass, the customer must observe very
specifical-ly that a heat soak oven for flat glass is not necessarily suitable for channel shaped glass, which poses
special requirements on the oven used due to its shape and other properties. Therefore, the heat soak oven must
be provably designed for these specific U glass require-ments.
