Mattress protectors
Also known as molton covers or molton cloths. They are stretched over
the mattress for hygienic protection. We recommend our molton fitted
sheet. It is washable at up to 60 °C and suitable for tumble drying.
Mattress fitted sheets
Fitted sheets provide the mattress with initial hygienic protection. Com-
plete protection of the mattress, for example with airtight and waterproof
synthetic materials, is not desirable for reasons of a functioning bed
climate with air circulation and moisture transport. The highly flexible
SCHRAMM mattress must not be constricted by fitted sheets that are too
small. Otherwise, it will become narrower and, above all, shorter, and its
corners will become ‘round’. This always happens when the covers are
too small or have become too small due to washing. A cover that is too
small causes the highly flexible SCHRAMM mattress to shrink, which can
result in a ‘visitor‘s gap’.
Even a single fitted sheet that is too small among many used can cause
the mattress to shrink. How can I restore a mattress to its original size?
Grasp the mattress at the foot end by the sturdy fabric handles and
shake it briefly and vigorously in a ‘wave-like’ motion towards the head
end. Repeat this process. This will allow the mattress to return to its origi-
nal size as far as possible. This is why the fitted sheets in the SCHRAMM
HOME COLLECTION are always generously sized.
Motorised adjustment
SCHRAMM beds can be equipped with motorised adjustable base mat-
tresses. Two to six motors increase comfort when sleeping, sitting, rela-
xing or reading. The technical safety of the motors used is subject to the
strict testing criteria of the Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) and
the State Trade Institute (LGA). We offer a 2-year warranty on motorised
components.
Natural materials
Almost 100 % of our suppliers are OEKO-TEX® certified. The human skin
is our natural connection to our environment and our largest organ. It
loves contact with natural materials. Cotton, sheep‘s wool, silk, linen,
cashmere and camel hair support the skin‘s natural moisture release and
have a pleasant effect on the sleeper. The materials adapt wonderfully to
the body and enable optimal regulation of the bed climate and tempe-
rature perception. The arrangement of the springs allows for maximum
point elasticity.
