Chenille
A special feature among flat weaves is chenille flat weave, in which – un-
like other flat weaves – chenille yarn (made with twisted pile threads) is
woven into the fabric. This gives the chenille fabric a non-slip but also ple-
asantly soft surface. As with velour, shades or iridescence in the pile and
colour of this fabric are to be regarded as normal signs of wear.
Cleaning and care
Proper cleaning and care are important for the longevity of your mattress.
Only clean the mattress with a brush. Do not beat it or use a vacuum
cleaner. Treat stains immediately with a suitable stain remover. Work from
the outside towards the centre to avoid water marks. Gently dab the stain
with a sponge or absorbent paper. Ensure good ventilation. Please refer
to the sewn-in label for cleaning instructions for the removable covers of
the beds and headboards.
The swivel joints on adjustable base mattresses should be maintained
from time to time with a drop of standard, acid-free oil (bicycle oil, sewing
machine oil or Ballistol universal oil). SCHRAMM fabrics are labelled with
the yarn composition and care instructions in accordance with the Textile
Labelling Act. We urge you to observe these instructions and recom-
mend that you only use professional cleaning services. Pillows and du-
vets should be fully washable, especially if you have a dust mite allergy.
