Sustainability
(En) For S•CAB, sustainability is an indispensable part of
being a company and manufacturing goods. It’s not
just a question of adding a reassuring label, S•CAB’s
focus on sustainability translates into tangible choices
and actions which have a direct impact on the way its
products are produced and reach end consumers.
S•CAB firmly believes that energy transition can-
not wait. Which is why, 3,474 photovoltaic panels were
installed at the Coccaglio facility in 2023, laid out over
a total surface area of 13,450 sqm, thus contributing
to a reduction in the use of polluting fossil fuels by pro-
ducing 1,632,780 Kw of power. This use of renewables
is combined with a well-thought-out policy for energy
efficiency and with cutting-edge technology. The up-
dating of the lighting system of the offices, production
departments and service areas, now fitted with LED
lights, testifies to the effort put into optimising the sup-
ply chain and processes. Even the way water is man-
aged adheres to this virtuous principle, as in the case
of the closed circuit cooling system leading to a reduc-
tion in consumption.
S•CAB believes in the future of recycled materi-
als. The products in the Go Green collection, the com-
pany’s hero range, are made from post-consumer re-
cycled PCR plastic with ICMQ certification. No virgin
plastic is introduced into their production cycle. On the
contrary, products and packaging that have reached
the end of their life become useful resources from

scindibile dell’essere e fare industria. Oltre la dimen-
sione effimera di un’etichetta rassicurante, l’attenzione
alla sostenibilità di S•CAB si traduce in scelte ed azioni
tangibili, con un impatto diretto sul modo in cui i pro-
dotti prendono vita ed arrivano ai consumatori finali.
S•CAB è convinta che la transizione energetica
non possa attendere. Per questo, dal 2023 lo stabili-
mento di Coccaglio si è dotato di 3.474 pannelli foto-
voltaici, che distribuiti su 13.450 mq di superficie tota-
le contribuiscono con i loro 1.632.780 Kw di energia
prodotta a ridurre il ricorso ad energie fossili inquinan-
ti. L’utilizzo delle rinnovabili si sposa poi ad un’attenta
politica di efficienza energetica e avanguardia tecno-
logica. L’aggiornamento del sistema di illuminazione di
uffici, reparti produttivi e piazzali, ora dotati di luci a LED,
testimonia lo sforzo teso ad ottimizzare filiera e proces-
si. Anche la gestione dell’acqua segue lo stesso pre-
supposto virtuoso, come nel caso degli impianti di raf-
freddamento a ciclo chiuso, che ne riducono il consumo.
S•CAB crede nel futuro dei materiali riciclati. I pro-
dotti della collezione Go Green, vero fiore all’occhiello
aziendale, sono realizzati in plastica rigenerata post
consumo industriale PCR e certificati ICMQ. Per pro-
durli, nessuna plastica vergine è introdotta nel ciclo
produttivo: al contrario, prodotti ed imballaggi giunti a
fine vita diventano, da scarti, risorse da valorizzare. Per
robustezza, stabilità e inalterabilità agli agenti atmosfe-
