Seogwipo-si, South Korea
Our principal design here is called Crystal Rain because it imitates a gentle
rain sprinkling the trees placed underneath. This installation includes 2900
handblown glass pieces and impresses by its size and the effect of contrasting
clear crystal, metal nanocoated, and mother-of-pearl finished components.
The rounded shape was also implemented in the lounge design. Forming three
impressive glass globes, the handmade pieces in various shades of amber
are complemented by elements with a golden nanocoating finish to give
a sensation of true luxury. Our final design consists of delicate parts reminding
of leaves flying in the wind. Made of sandblasted glass with mother-of-pearl
touches, each unique component is suspended on wire lines, shaping the
installation into a wave.
