it — Metis arricchisce la sezione Saba che interpreta il divano come
elemento mutevole e organico. Il suo nome ha origini lontane:
i Greci indicavano con Mètis l’intelligenza pratica, quella che
consente di risolvere abilmente, e per vie non convenzionali,
i problemi di tutti i giorni, adattandosi alle diverse circostanze,
con elasticità ed ingegno. L’intuizione pratica che sta alla base
di Metis è l’utilizzo di un’elegante cerniera metallica a vista,
quale elemento di snodo tra gli schienali, applicazione che rende
possibile la massima flessibilità senza gesti faticosi. Lineare
e soffice al tempo stesso, Metis è caratterizzato da preziose
trapuntature che scolpiscono i volumi di seduta, schienali e
braccioli. Attraverso la moltiplicazione e rotazione degli elementi
base, a uno e due posti, di cui è composto, il sistema di sedute
consente molteplici configurazioni ed espressioni estetiche home

origins: the Greeks indicated with the word Mètis a practical

circumstances, with elasticity and ingenuity. The practical intuition
behind the Metis sofa is the use of an elegant and visible metal
hinge as a joint element between the backrests. This application
allows for maximum flexibility without strenuous gestures. Linear
yet soft at the same time, Metis is characterized by precious quilting
that sculpts the volumes of the seats, backrests and armrests.
Through the multiplication and rotation of the basic one or two
seat elements, of which it is composed, the seating system allows
multiple configurations and aesthetic expressions for the home and
