As only the best is good enough, all Royal Botania textiles are woven of
100% solution-dyed acrylic fibre; your guarantee for optimal water -and UV
resistance, and of course many years of premium comfort.
Stainless steel is a ferrous alloy with increased corrosion resistance due to the addition of chrome and nickel. Chlorine, the greatest enemy of
RFS, can cause a type of corrosion known as “pitting”. For this reason, it is recommended that in coastal locations the metal be given a surface
as smooth as possible in order to further increase its resistance to corrosion. The furniture frames of the Wave is supplied with an electropolished
finish as standard. For the Ninix and O-Zon ranges we recommend the optional electropolishing treatment of the frame if it is to be used in a
corrosive environment.
STAINLESS STEEL
TEAK
As Royal Botania never compromises on quality, only carefully selected mature teakwood
is used in our products. All of it harvested in strict accordance with our environmental
policies. Teak wood is produced by the Tectona Grandis and the wood’s renowned durability
is due to its high content of natural oils. The limited absorption of moisture protects the
wood from warping and gives it enormous stability. In addition, the wood is highly resistant
to attacks by pests. It is because of these qualities, as well as its exceptionally attractive
hue and structure, that teak is widely considered “the noblest of all wood types”. Soil and
climate conditions have a significant impact on the quality of the wood, and as such, only
the Indonesian plantation wood has the same superior qualities as wood harvested from
the Golden Triangle: the Laos, Myanmar and Thailand region. Only wood that has fully
matured possesses the much valued qualities of great stability and moisture resistance.
Mature wood is ready to be felled after 75 to 80 years.
