Studio Paolo Rizzatto - Milano
Paolo Rizzatto’s SOL lamp puts on a new color that conveys a
narrative of passion, land, and tradition. The color ROSSOMOSTO,
a dark and deep burgundy, is inspired by the Rotaliana Plain, which
is the beating heart of wine production in Trentino and where our
company resides.
The choice of this color is not a coincidence: it is the expression of
a culture that has existed for millennia, and which is related to the
land and winemaking. Teroldego Rotaliano wine possesses vibrant
and intense hues like those of must, which reveals its characteristics
during fermentation. ROSSOMOSTO perfectly captures this magical
phase of winemaking, a moment of transformation that reminds us
not only of the wine’s color, but also of its depth, richness, and its
intrinsic connection to the land where it is produced.
Our SOL lamp represents a perfect balance between nature
and technology, between the heat and energy of the sun and the
precision of technology. The name itself, SOL, evokes the sun, the
source of life, and at the same time, the simplicity and purity of
technical forms that transform its brightness into a functional and
contemporary object.
The summer sun’s sparkling rays blend into October flashes of dark
and deep light, creating atmospheres that echo the natural cycle
of seasons and light. Like grapes clustering to mature properly, the
LEDs are arranged in concentric circles to maximize the quality of
light flow, resulting in the SOL’s shape.
Our territory, the Rotaliana Plain, with its sun-kissed hills and
lush vineyards, is a place of exceptional beauty. Here, the colors
change with the seasons, from the bright green of the vineyards in
the summer to the bright red of the leaves in the fall, creating an
enchanting landscape that inspired the creation of ROSSOMOSTO.
This color is a tribute to a land that gives authentic and deep
emotions, just like the ones we want to convey through SOL’s light.
SOL in Rossomosto red is not only a design object, but also a
declaration of love for our history and territory. With this special
edition, we want to bring a part of the Rotaliana Plain into people’s
homes, a corner of Trentino where tradition and innovation meet.
SOL’s warm and enveloping light becomes a means to tell stories
of intertwined lives, of hands that work the land and of inspiring
landscapes.
ROSSOMOSTO is our way of celebrating the beauty, culture, and
strength of our land. We have made the SOL lamp not only a design
object, but also a symbol of the indissoluble bond between man
and nature.
