Commitment against light pollution
Any external path must be structured in such a way as to allow any user, and
in particular persons with reduced mobility (PRM), access to the entrance of
an establishment open to the public. For this path to be accessible, taking into
account the transition zones, its horizontal mean illumination level (Eav) to be
maintained at ground level over its entire length must respect 20 lux average
(according to the legislation of each country).
Many Roger Pradier® luminaires make it possible to meet PRM requirements.
They can be identified in the pages of this catalogue by the presence of a PRM
table. Some collections, such as Tetra and Hector, offer special performance
thanks to the Asymmetrical LED technology that allows spacing of up to 12 m for
bollards and 25 m for poles, while respecting the Eav = 20 lux.
Roger Pradier® is committed to complying with the new regulations against
light pollution. In France in particular, the Decree of 27 December 2018 on the
prevention, reduction and limitation of light pollution regulates lighting practices.
Since 1 January 2020, these provisions apply to «light installations» in order to be
consistent with today’s environmental issues.
