SAVOIR-FAIRE/KNOW-HOW
THE CAST-IRON
Cast iron is an alloy of iron and carbon that is poured into a
mold.
Some of our cremone bolt are available in cast iron.like the
RG 50 model.
THE STAMPING
Stamping is the cold forming of bronze (tole). Shapes are
reproduced in relief or recessed on the bronze using a die.
THE FORGING
Closed-die forging involves heating a section of bar, called a
“billet”, to form a plastic shape. Th is operation is carried out
using dies (upper and lower). Th e dies are engraved with the
shape of the part.
In the tooling, a billet or preform is presented, which can be
prepared using a roughing die.
Excess metal is burr-trimmed into the appropriate re-
cess. Th e burr is then cut to follow the contour of the part
(de-burring).
THE MACHINING
Machining is an alternative to casting for the shaping of
materials for parts that are technical parts as well as those
with a contemporary design.
