exact year when the LED
revolution began.
Patent License Agreement
MBN-PROLED and Signify (formerly Philips) have concluded a license agreement for the use of Signify (Philips) patents under the Signify (Philips) LED Luminaire Licensing Program.
This gives MBN access to the extensive patent portfolio of Signify (Philips) for the development of LED products, also covering patents filed by Color Kinetics and TIR Systems, which
have been acquired by Philips. The possibility to use patents increases the efficiency of our product development, as we now have a multitude of technologies at our disposal that can
be used in innovative ways. Furthermore, when purchasing, reselling and using PROLED products, our customers are exempted from any claim to license fees by Signify N.V. (formerly
Royal Philips Electronics) in relation to the licensing program. A potential conflict with Signify (Philips) patents within the licensing program is thus avoided. The agreement covers all
regions of the world and applies to existing patents and patents pending.
