Robert Mills was the first native-born
american to be a professionally
trained architect. He is best known for
his design of the Washington Monu-
ment, which was the tallest building
in the world at the time of its com-
pletion. Mills was also responsible
for the design of the United States
Treasury Building, the Department of
War Building, and the United States
Patent Office Building. This architect
was the inspiration for this outstand-
ing dining table. Inspired by one of the
tallest buildings in the United States,
Mills Dining Table was born.
