Nymph is inspired by the eponymous
female deities from ancient Greek
mythology, benevolent personifications
of nature at the service of human beings.
Inspired by the concept of a gentle
presence that accompanies our daily
life, this blown glass lamp with a
delicately-pleated lampshade floats
weightlessly on its leather-covered
base. As a tribute to the classic
leather tufted button on Poltrona Frau
upholstery, the on/off and dimmer
switch is designed as a brass button
embedded in the lampshade base.
When switched on, the illumination
transforms the design object into
a graceful incandescent sculpture,
reminiscent of gentle ethereal maiden.
