CONCEPT
Cette collection tire son nom du caractère
chinois “Ren” qui signifie personne: deux
traits simples, en représentation picto-
graphique de la figure humaine. Le trait le
plus long dépasse légèrement
et est soutenu par le trait plus
petit. Ces deux éléments dépen-
dent l’un de l’autre pour leur
stabilité, dans un rapport qui
exprime exactement la con-
struction architecturale de cha-
que élément de la collection.
Chaque élément est constitué de
deux “Ren”, qui ensemble com-
posent la structure principale
en noyer Canaletto massif et
soutiennent entre eux les struc-
tures secondaires, elles aussi en
bois. Les éléments fonctionnels
qui trouvent place à l’intérieur
des structures ont des formes
plus douces et curvilignes, et
sont élégamment revêtus de cuir
Cuoio Saddle Extra. Les détails
en laiton ajoutent au design une
touche précieuse. La série des
accessoires de décoration REN
s’agrandit. Bibliothèque, porte-
revues, miroir de table enrichis-
sent la collection de fonctions
nouvelles. Ce sont de petites
architectures légères, faites de
suspensions géniales, de jeux
de contrepoids, de simples en-
castrements qui rappellent une
conception orientale du design
et des espaces.
La collection REN comprend
maintenant également, en plus des
accessoires d’ameublement, un fau-
teuil et un petit canapé. Une richesse
d’offres qui définit avec cohérence les
différents espaces de la maison.
CONCEPT
La collezione prende il nome dal caratte-
re cinese “Ren”, che significa persona. Fin
dalle origini del linguaggio, questo segno
compare inciso sugli antichi ossi oracolari
cinesi usati a scopo divinatorio: due
semplici tratti in una rappresentazio-
ne pittografica della figura umana. Il
tratto più lungo sporge leggermente
ed è sostenuto da quello più breve. I
due elementi dipendono l’uno dall’al-
tro per stabilità, in una relazione che
esprime esattamente la costruzione
architettonica di ogni elemento del-
la collezione. Ogni pezzo consiste di
due “Ren”, che compongono la strut-
tura principale in legno massello di
noce canaletto e sorreggono tra loro
le strutture secondarie, anch’esse in
legno. Gli elementi funzionali che tro-
vano spazio all’interno delle strutture
hanno forme più morbide e curvilinee
e sono elegantemente avvolti in Cuoio
Saddle Extra. I dettagli in ottone ag-
giungono un tocco prezioso al design.

Sono piccole, leggere architetture,
fatte di geniali sospensioni, giochi
di contrappesi, semplici incastri che
richiamano una concezione orientale
degli spazi e del design. Accanto ai
complementi, la collezione REN com-
prende ora anche poltroncina e diva-
netto. Una ricchezza di proposte che
definisce in modo coerente i diversi
spazi della casa.
CONCEPT
The collection takes the name of the Chi-
nese “Ren” ideogram, which means person.
From the birth of the language, this symbol
appeared on ancient Chinese oracle bones
used for divination. Two simple strokes con-
stitute a pictographic representation of the
human figure. The longer stroke sticks out
slightly and is supported by the shorter stroke.
The two elements depend on each other for their
stability, a relationship that perfectly represents
the architectural construction of each item in
the collection. Each piece consists of two “Ren”,
which make up the main structure in Canaletto
walnut solid wood and together support the se-
condary structures, also in wood. The functional
elements that form part of the structures have
softer and more curved forms, which are elegan-
tly upholstered in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather. The
brass details add a precious touch to the design.
The series of REN accessories has grown. A bo-
okcase, magazine rack and table mirror expand
the functions of the collection. Small, light ar-
chitectures are made up of ingenious suspen-
sions, clever balances, and simple joints inspired
by an oriental concept of spaces and design.
Alongside the accessories, the REN collection
now also includes a small armchair and sofa.
A wealth of objects offering a coherent definition
of the various spaces of the home.
KONCEPT
Die Kollektion hat ihren Namen vom chinesi-
schen Schriftzeichen “Ren”, das Person be-
deutet. Seit den Anfängen der Sprache ist
dieses Zeichen auf den alten chinesischen
Orakelknochen für Wahrsagerei eingraviert:
zwei einfache Züge in einer piktographischen
Darstellung der menschlichen Figur. Die länge-
re Linie ragt geringfügig hervor und wird von
der kürzeren gestützt. Die beiden Elemente
sind aus Gründen der Stabilität voneinander
abhängig, in einem Verhältnis, das genau den
architektonischen Aufbau der einzelnen Ele-
mente der Kollektion ausdrückt. Jedes Stück
besteht aus zwei “Ren”, die die Hauptstruktur
aus massivem Canaletto Nuss bilden und un-
tereinander die Sekundärstrukturen, eben-
falls aus Holz, stützen. Die funktionellen
Elemente, die Raum innerhalb der Strukturen
finden, haben weichere und kurvigere For-
men und sind elegant in Cuoio Saddle Extra®
-Leder gehüllt. Die Messingdetails fügen dem
Design eine kostbare Note hinzu. Die Beistel-
lmöbelserie REN wird größer. Bücherregal,
Zeitschriftenständer, Tischspiegel bereichern
die Kollektion um Funktionen.
Es sind kleine, leichte Architekturen aus
ausgeklügelten
Federungen,
Spielen
mit
Gegengewichten,
einfachen
Nutverbin-
dungen, die an ein orientalisches Kon-
zept
von
Raum
und
Design
erinnern.
