Essenziale, quasi austero, Sangirolamo
è un sistema di arredi (tavolo-scrivania-
libreria) pensati da A. Castiglioni
& M. De Lucchi per accogliere,
dialogare o riunirsi in situazioni
diverse. Caratterizzati dal rapporto
straordinario fra leggerezza fi gurativa
e peso strutturale, il tavolo e la libreria
Sangirolamo a scaff ali, sono in legno
multistrato di forte spessore, sostenuti
da gambe sottili in ghisa che il piano
serve a “trattenere” strutturalmente.
La libreria Sangirolamo ha la struttura
listellare con anima in massello di
abete ricoperta da due strati per lato
in sfogliato di pioppo e MDF. Il piano
è realizzato dall’accoppiamento di
vari pannelli in listellare con anima in
massello di abete ricoperta da due strati

La fi nitura esterna è con impiallacciatura
in legno di noce Canaletto. Il piano
è rinforzato da una traversa metallica
esterna. La fi nitura del fondo è in noce
Canaletto o in legno laccato nero opaco.
Le gambe sono in fusione di ghisa
verniciata a polvere.
Simple to the point of being austere,
Sangirolamo is a furniture system
(table-desk-bookcase) designed by
A. Castiglioni & M. De Lucchi as a
welcoming environment in which to
converse or meet in diff erent situations.
Distinctive for the extraordinary
relationship between their decorative
lightness and structural weight, the
Sangirolamo table and bookshelves
are made from very thick plywood and
supported by slender cast iron legs held
in place structurally by the table top.
The Sangirolamo bookcase has a
blockboard structure with solid spruce
core covered with two layers of rotary
cut poplar and MDF on each side.
The top consists of a combination of
various blockboard panels with solid
spruce core covered with two layers
of rotary cut poplar and MDF on each
side. The external fi nish consists
of a Canaletto walnut veneer.
The top is reinforced with an external
metal crossbar. The back is fi nished
in Canaletto walnut or in matt black
lacquered wood. The legs are in powder-
painted cast iron.

(table, bureau, bibliothèque) conçu
par A. Castiglioni & M. De Lucchi pour
accueillir, dialoguer ou se réunir dans
diff érentes situations. Caractérisées par
l’extraordinaire relation entre la légèreté
fi gurative et le poids structurel, la table
et la bibliothèque Sangirolamo à rayons
sont en multiplis de forte épaisseur,
soutenues par de minces pieds en
fonte que le plateau sert à « retenir »
structurellement.
La bibliothèque Sangirolamo a une
structure en lattes avec âme en sapin
massif recouvert de deux couches par
côté en peuplier et placage MDF.
Le plateau est constitué d’un stratifi é
de diff érents panneaux stratifi és avec
un noyau de sapin massif recouvert de
deux couches par côté en placage de
peuplier et MDF. La fi nition extérieure est
en placage de noyer Canaletto. Le dessus
est renforcé par une traverse métallique
extérieure. La fi nition du fond est en
noyer Canaletto ou en bois laqué noir
mat. Les pieds sont en fonte peinte époxy.

in verschiedenen Situationen erdacht
wurde. Tisch und Bücherschrank
Sangirolamo mit Regalen sind durch
eine außerordentliche Beziehung
zwischen fi gurativer Leichtigkeit und
strukturellem Gewicht gekennzeichnet.
Sie sind aus dickem Multischichtholz
gemacht und werden von schmalen
Beinen aus Gusseisen getragen, die
dazu dienen, die Platte in struktureller
Hinsicht “zurückzuhalten”.
Der Bücherschrank Sangirolamo hat
eine stabverleimte Struktur mit Kern aus
Massivtanne, der von zwei Schichten
aus geschältem Pappelholz und MDF
umgeben ist. Die Ablagefl äche ist
aus einem Verbund verschiedener
stabverleimter Tafeln mit Kern aus
Massivtanne gemacht, die auf jeder
Seite von zwei Schichten geschältem
Pappelholz und MDF bedeckt wird.
Das äußere Finish ist ein Furnier aus
Canaletto Nuss. Die Ablagefl äche
wird durch einen externen Querträger
aus Metall verstärkt. Das Finish des
Bodens ist aus Canaletto Nuss oder
mattschwarz lackiertem Holz. Die Beine
sind aus pulverlackiertem Guss.
