Ducati Scrambler
Stylistic identity, customisation and
optimum performance are the basis for the
design of the saddles developed by the Pol-
trona Frau Interiors in Motion business unit
for the historic motorcycle manufacturer
Ducati. This collaboration was established in
2020 with the Scrambler® Club Italia
project, which involved the creation of a
limited and exclusive series in Siam red Pelle
Frau® leather with the Club Italia logo,
intended exclusively for members.
Red like the symbolic colour of the
Borgo Panigale brand, the design of the
saddle for Scrambler® Club Italia is inspired
by the numerous values shared by the two
companies, and benefits from the business
unit’s many years of experience with interi-
ors for luxury cars, airplanes and yachts.
Scrambler is a heritage model, born from a
1970s concept that works well with the clas-
sicism and elegance of Poltrona Frau,
aspects that are taken up and readapted in
the shapes of a saddle that harkens back to
vintage motorcycles. This is the first use of
leather on a Ducati motorcycle, and it dis-
plays Poltrona Frau’s true know-how, which
lies in the creation of the stitching system, as
is evident from the care with which the parts
are joined and the volume given to the shape
by the natural leather, and from the logo, in
laser-cut leather with a “highlighted” edge.
The planning of the cuts, as well as the selec-
tion of the threads for the stitching to avoid
penetration by water and ensure perfor-
mance and resistance are also the product of
established know-how.
The O.S. and Unica saddles also came
to be thanks to the Ducati Scrambler experi-
ence. These are tailor-made, and the leather
is customisable in colour and appearance,
from semi-aniline to leathers with a more
heritage look, to “wet whites” that are more
attentive to sustainability issues and tanned
without chrome. Both Unica and O.S. feature
minute and refined details, such as the
leather trim with the customer’s initials for
Unica, or the Italian flag on the profile of
O.S., produced in three colours of leather
and sewn onto the profile of the saddle itself.

create an image of precision, elegance and
classicism, even in a sports motorcycle.
