Infinito∞
Una texture naturale irripetibile, unica
per ognuno degli esemplari. La forma
a doppio ovale sfalsato ricorda in parte
le forme complementari dello ying e dello
yang, in parte un 8 rovesciato, simbolo
di compiutezza e prosperità senza fine:
da qui il nome. Ogni piede è ricavato da
un unico blocco di marmo bianco
di Carrara rifinito a mano, ma il risultato
è tutt’altro che pesante: la forma ad
albero, che con i suoi “rami” si apre
verso l’esterno, esprime leggerezza
e dinamismo, facendo risaltare
ulteriormente l’eleganza e le forti
valenze scultoree del tavolo.
Il tavolo Infinito∞ è disponibile in due
versioni: una serie limitata in soli 8 pezzi
per il formato grande a doppio ovale,
lungo 340x120 cm, supportato da due
gambe. 64 esemplari, invece, realizzati
con il top ovale di 220x124 cm, sono
caratterizzati da una sola base.
Nella versione più grande del tavolo
Infinito8, il piano è attraversato da
una lama sottile di acciaio inox che,
incastonata obliquamente nel marmo,
fa da trait d’union delle due superfici
ovali. Data l’eccezionalità del materiale,
la serie non potrà mai più essere
replicata. Sotto ogni piano, al centro,
è presente una targa in ottone con
finitura Ruthenium recante il logo
Poltrona Frau e il numero progressivo
di ogni esemplare: dall’1 all’8
per la versione grande e dall’1 al 64
per la versione più piccola.
A natural, unrepeatable texture, unique
in each table produced. The offset,
double-oval shape in part recalls the
complementary shapes of yin and yang,
in part an overturned 8, the symbol
of endless perfection and prosperity:
hence the name. Each foot is carved
from a single block of white, hand-
finished Carrara marble, but the result is
anything but heavy: the shape of a tree
opening outwards with its “branches”,
expressing lightness and dynamism and
further enhancing the table’s elegance
and strong sculptural value.
The Infinito∞ table is available in two
versions: a limited series of only 8
pieces in the large, double-oval shape,
340x120 cm, supported by two legs.
Another 64 pieces have instead been
made with the oval top, 220x124 cm,
with a single base. In the larger version
of the Infinito8 table the top is crossed
by a thin stainless steel blade that
has been obliquely set in the marble,
serving as a trait d’union of the two oval
surfaces. Given the exceptional nature
of the material, the series can never be
replicated. A brass plate with Ruthenium
finish bearing the Poltrona Frau logo
and the series number of each copy can
be found in the centre of the table below
the top: from 1 to 8 for the large version
and from 1 to 64 for the smaller version.

des exemplaires. La forme à double ovale
décalée rappelle en partie les formes
complémentaires du yin et du yang
et en partie un 8 retourné, symbole de
perfection et de prospérité infinies, d’où
est tiré son nom. Bien que chaque pied
est obtenu à partir d’un seul bloc de
marbre blanc de Carrare fini à la main,
le résultat est tout sauf lourd. Sa forme
arborescente, qui s’ouvre avec ses
« branches » vers l’extérieur, exprime
légèreté et dynamisme, en faisant
ressortir davantage l’élégance et les
grandes valeurs sculpturales de la table.
La table Infinito∞ est disponible dans
deux versions : une série limitée à
seulement 8 pièces pour le grand format
à double ovale, avec une longueur de
340 x 120 cm, soutenu par deux pieds.
En revanche, la version avec le plateau
ovale de 220 x 124 cm, caractérisée
par une seule base, est disponible en
64 exemplaires. Pour la version la plus
grande de la table Infinito8, le plateau
est traversé par une fine lame d’acier
inox qui, enchâssée à l’oblique dans
le marbre, sert de trait d’union entre
les deux surfaces ovales.La qualité
exceptionnelle de la matière ne permettra
pas de reproduire un jour la série. Sous
chaque plateau, au centre, se trouve une
plaque en laiton avec finition Ruthenium
qui porte le logo Poltrona Frau et le
numéro de chaque exemplaire : de 1 à 8
pour la grande version et de 1 à 64 pour
la version plus petite.
Eine nicht wiederholbare, natürliche
Textur, die für jedes Exemplar
einzigartig ist. Die Form des versetzten,
doppelten Ovals erinnert teils an die
sich ergänzenden Formen von Yin und
Yang und teils an eine umgekehrte 8,
das Symbol der Vollkommenheit und
der Fülle ohne Ende, woher auch der
Name rührt. Jeder Fuß wird aus einem
einzigen weißen Carrara-Marmorblock
gewonnen und von Hand vollendet,
das Ergebnis ist jedoch alles andere
als schwer: Die Baumform, die sich mit
ihren „Ästen“ nach außen hin öffnet,
drückt Leichtigkeit und Dynamik aus
und bringt die Eleganz und den hohen
skulpturenhaften Wert des Tisches
noch stärker zur Geltung.
„Infinito∞” ist in zwei Versionen
erhältlich: eine limitierte Serie mit nur
8 Exemplaren für das Großformat mit
doppeltem Oval, Länge 340x120 cm,
das von zwei Beinen getragen wird.
64 Exemplare mit Oberseite in ovaler
Version mit den Maßen 220x124 cm
sind hingegen durch eine einzige
Basis gekennzeichnet. In der größeren
Version wird die Tischplatte von
Infinito8 von einer dünnen Klinge aus
Edelstahl durchzogen, die schräg in
den Marmor eingesetzt ist und als
Bindeglied zwischen den zwei ovalen
Oberflächen dient.Da es sich um ein
außerordentliches Material handelt,
kann die Serie nie wieder repliziert
werden. Unter jeder Tischplatte ist
in der Mitte ein Messingschild mit
Rutheniumfinish vorhanden, das das
Poltrona Frau Logo und die fortlaufende
Nummer jedes Exemplars enthält: von 1
bis 8 für die große Version, und von 1
bis 64 für die kleinere Version.
