The Peek-a-Book desk consists of
an extremely simple sheet of poplar
plywood covered in Pelle Frau®
leather which is curved and folded
in two to form the base and the
desktop, as well as to accommodate
two drawers. The visual effect is that
of a valuable leather-bound book
that symbolises the function of the
object. In fact, the desk is a place for
thinking, collecting our thoughts and
looking back over our memories: the
most intimate and personal side of the
person that uses it to study or work.
Lazzeroni envisages a generous work
surface and a design that revisits the
materials, warmth and style of his
residential collections while at the
same time guaranteeing all of the
functions of a “genuine” office desk.
