Whereas the ceramic hands/objects can only be presented in the correct
proportions, because they relate to the body, the first ancestral measuring
instrument. 03 04
Additionally, it must be said that Ponti's multiform hands are a
tribute to the craftsmanship of the artist’s and ceramist’s ability
to animate matter with his own hands, but they are also concise
symbols of humanity, as can be seen when viewed on the covers
of the ‘lo Stile’ magazine 07 08
Finally, they remain a testament to the fervent debate within Ponti’s
storyboard for an unprecedented cinematic adaptation of Pirandello’s
Enrico IV in 194010.
