African arts deliver many messages
about the spiritual world, culture,
religion, power, status, and social
messages. The Tribal print is a

AFRICAN TRIBAL & KENTE PATTERNS
Boateng's tribal pattern answers
the global demand and love for its
ancestral prints. The Kente print
has origins from the Ashanti/Akan
people of Ghana and is mostly very
brightly coloured or dark, depending
on the occasion it is used for.
Originally, the Ashanti only used it
for highly sacred ceremonies, but
due to modernity, the Kente cloth is
now used globally for any occasion.
The general design of Kente is made
with abstract ideas and, at times,
based on the nature of the occasion
it is worn for. The designs, if not
based on ideas, are then based on
colors. In Ghana, colors are a very
important aspect of the culture.
