Poltrona Frau
For the first time, the indoor living area is brought
near the outdoor one, therefore creating the
possibility of one large living space, instead of two
smaller separate ones.
The living area is also provided with the Kennedee
sofa by Jean-Marie Massaud.The width and the
height of the sofa were specially adapted to fit the
living area. The modular nature of this sofa, and its
modern and cosmopolitan allure perfectly
resemble the personality and style of the yacht.For
the Pershing P72 yacht, Poltrona Frau also designed
a series of innovative seats with an assemblable
rotational mould which served also for all of the
captain’s seats in future crafts.
A central seat with short armrests and side
seats with long and short symmetrical armrests to
facilitate the use of the throttle and joystick tillers
mounted on the command panels. In addition,
Poltrona Frau’s design decreased the seats’ weight
from 72-73 kg to only 16 kg, an important asset in
nautical design. Since this first project, Poltrona
Frau has been cooperating with Ferretti Group on
several more models, proving that Poltrona Frau is
not just a mere supplier but a real partner for the
nautical design industry.
