100+10 Years of True Evolution
The last ten years of Poltrona Frau’s
history have been marked by growth: in human
resources, in its presence in the world and in
the range of its product off ering. The company
has grown increasingly eff ective at inter-
preting the evolution of contemporary living
through the taste and style of Poltrona Frau.
With a widespread presence around the globe,
the Tolentino-based company has become
a leader in the fi eld of high-end Made in Italy
furnishings and an ambassador of Italian excel-
lence around the world. The company’s merit
has also been recognised by its designation as
Historic Brand of National Interest, awarded
by the Italian government in 2021.
During this extraordinary last decade,
Poltrona Frau has grown from 500 to 752
employees working in various countries
around the world. The company has entered
22 new markets, the largest of which was
China in 2021. Six new directly operated
stores (DOS) have been opened over the last
decade: in Milan, with the fl agship store on
Via Manzoni, London, Miami, Los Angeles,
Dubai and Shanghai, enriching a retail
network that covers the main strategic hubs
in the world and has grown at the remarkable
compound rate (CAGR) of 8% since 2012.
The strategy of retail expansion, espe-
cially in the Asian market, is the result of
targeted choices. Starting in 2013, thanks
to the support of qualifi ed local partners,
Poltrona Frau opened three stores in Beijing,
followed by others in Wenzhou, Qingdao
and Xiamen Xian. Flagship Stores were also
opened in Shanghai and Seoul, along with
